A BSGM  'Lunch and Learn'  online session, bringing together members from across the society to learn and discuss topics of interest to all.

Roya Ziaie, team lead - genomics science and emerging technologies at the Department of Health and Social Care and William Meredew, policy advisor, Health and Protection Association of British Insurers (ABI) will be reviewing the code on genetics testing and insurance in an increasingly dynamic genomics landscape, taking place over Zoom on Wednesday 26th October 12:30-13:30 (UK time)

To view the current code, please visit the ABI website.

Overview

  • An introduction to the Code on Genetics Testing and Insurance
  • Current thinking around the review, and what needs to change
  • A discussion with attendees around ways we can improve the Code going forwards, and things we might need to consider for future reviews
We aim for this initiative to be genuinely useful to members and serve as a point of collegial conversation across professions and geographies; topics will be selected that are of broad interest and feedback is welcome as we develop the initiative.

All sessions will be recorded and available via the BSGM website for those unable to attend live.

If you are unable to attend and have any questions you would like to submit in advance please send them to Flora Joseph
