Building on the success of the last six Genetics of Ocular Development (GoOD) Meetings, the 2026 meeting is to be held in Montreal, Canada, on Monday 19 October (all day) and Tuesday 20 October 2026 (morning only), ahead of the annual meeting of the American Society for Human Genetics (ASHG), also to be held in Montreal. The GoOD meeting will showcase the latest research in the genetics of eye development conditions (including but not limited to anophthalmia, microphthalmia, coloboma, anterior segment disorders and early retinal disorders) as well as eye development models and therapeutic approaches, and offers the opportunity to meet fellow researchers and clinicians working in these fields. The meeting will take place at the CHU Sainte Justine, a short metro journey away from old Montreal. Keynote Speakers: Michel Cayouette (McGill University, Montreal, Canada), Elise Heon (Sick Kids Hospital Toronto, Canada) Brian Brooks (National Eye Institute, Bethesda, Maryland, USA) Extended abstract deadline: 31st July 2026.
