If you would like us to consider publishing details of an event related to genetics and genomics, please submit it here. We regret we are not usually able to publish events unless they are associated with genetics and genomics.
The BSGM annual meeting will be on Tuesday November 8th, as a celebration of UK Clinical Genomics and an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues following the last few years of virtual meetings. The event will be held at The Royal College of Physicians, London. Details regarding registration for the meeting will be circulated soon. Professor Helen Firth will be giving “The BSGM Lecture”.
Abstract submission
We would like to invite you to submit an abstract. These sessions will be broadly divided into Service and Research. To ensure we can include as many high-quality presentations as possible, in addition to the 15 minute standard presentations, we will also be offering 5 minute lightning presentations consisting of 3 slides. These lightning presentations are ideally suited where there are results of high quality but of insufficient quantity for a 15-minute presentation. Please do consider this if you have some great results that are not quite there yet for a full presentation. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate poster presentations.
We are particularly interested to receive abstracts from early career investigators, trainee genetic counsellors, pre-reg genetic counsellors, clinical genetics trainees, STPs and pre-reg clinical scientists in genomics, bioinformatics and cancer genomics. The BSGM will award prizes for outstanding abstracts from trainees and early career investigators. All trainees and early career investigators who have applied during the abstract submission are nominees for the awards. Each nominee must be first author (i.e. presenting author) of the submitted abstract and should not be more than four years post-doctoral.
Abstract submission will open on Monday 11th July 2022 and close on Monday 15th August 2022 at 24.00hrs (BST).
